Revisiting Camping Mon Plaisir, St Remy de Provence

We've returned, and we are not disappointed, in fact it only gets better here.

We first visited back in 2021, with Covid restrictions still in place. For those who missed the original post, here is a recap.

Original Review from 2021:

It is so nice to return and see the place in full swing. And with some improvements too!

The swimming pool area has been enlarged, plenty of sun beds, and a new grass area to lounge around on.

The bar and restaurant are open in high season, but don't worry if you are thirsty during the rest of the year, there is a self service bar. How cool is this!

The onsite shop is also fully stocked, with all the basics, as well as some really nice gifts. They sell local unlabelled wine for a very good price, and if you get a takeaway pizza too, you are set up for a relaxing evening.

The improvements are great, although even during the pandemic this was a very high standard campsite. The family who run the campsite are innovative, making sure you get the best out of your stay. They've also updated their website, and frankly their photography is much better than mine so have a look at their photos GALLERY - Campsite Monplaisir (camping-monplaisir.fr)

If you want to explore Provence, which is in my opinion one of the prettiest regions of France, then don't forget there is a very reliable storage yard not far from Camping Mon Plaisir. Gardiennage La Galine run a very professional storage yard. Undercover, locked, and manned all year round. They will wash your caravan (with a giant car wash) and tow it to the campsite of your choice.

You can email the lovely Gilbert and Cathy at gilbertgardiennagelagaline@gmail.com to organise a safe spot for your caravan.

No dirty caravans at La Galine!

St Remy de Provence really has a lot to offer: good weather, fabulous local food and wine, beautiful scenary, and so many little villages to explore. We can't wait to return, hopefully we will see some of you there!
